In these one-on-one sessions you'll help small business owners tackle real-world immediate issues and produce a helpful deliverable.

Hackathon Volunteer Opportunities
Creating Financial Projections
Volunteers should have experience in financial modeling and be able to use Excel or Google Sheets. Professionals in banking/finance, accounting, financial analysis, underwriting, and consulting are ideal candidates.

Deliverable: 36-month financial projections spreadsheet
Driving More Traffic to Your Website
Volunteers should have experience in marketing fundamentals related to increasing website traffic and user experience principals that will lead visitors to a clear call to action. Business professionals should understand best practices in getting found on the internet and leading site visitors through an experience that leads to a call to action. Understanding of SEO principles and strategies preferred, but not required. Professionals in website development and online marketing are ideal candidates.

Deliverable: Prioritized checklist of ways to improve the user experience on your website; Three strategies to drive visitors to a business website.
Creating A Competitive Analysis Chart
Volunteers should have experience doing basic market research to analyze the competitive landscape and determine the key drivers of competitive advantage. Professionals in banking/finance, financial analysis, marketing/branding, and consulting are ideal candidates.
Deliverable: Chart of the primary competitors and key differentiators/competitive advantages
Volunteers should have experience in setting up and using social media especially Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter and LinkedIn. Business professionals should understand basic principles of content creation
including use of images, links, hashtags, and tagging as well as have a working knowledge of content
scheduling platforms. Professionals in social media marketing and heavy social media users are ideal
candidates.​

templates (materials provided)
